East Martindale Road and Frederick Pike Watermain Extension Project

A public waterline will be extended to the Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm.

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 17, through Tuesday, Dec. 7, weather permitting, Frederick Pike will be closed between US 40/National Road and Meeker Road. A detour using Kershner Road, Dog Leg Road and US 40/National Road will be put in place and marked with signage.

CONSTRUCTION TIMING:

This project is under construction! Completion is expected by the end of the year.

COST:

$3 million

COMMUNITY BENEFIT: Ensuring local residents and businesses have access to clean and safe drinking water is one of the highest priorities a local municipality holds. The East Martindale Road and Frederick Pike Watermain Extension Project will provide public access to the Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm.

DETAILED SCOPE: The project will extend a public waterline to the Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm. It includes the extension of a 12” watermain from East Martindale Road to Frederick Pike, along Frederick Pike and under US 40 to Aullwood, allowing residents who wish to tie into the public water system the ability to do so.
