COST: $6.4 million
SCOPE: The project included improvements near the Dayton Mall to Kingsridge Drive, Lyons Ridge Drive, and Southwind Drive. The TID was the turnkey deliverer of the project which included design, financing, right-of-way acquisition, and construction of (1) the widening of Kingsridge Drive from SR 725 to Lyons Ridge Drive, (2) the addition of two new traffic signals on Kingsridge Drive, (3) the widening of Lyons Ridge Drive between Kingsridge Drive and Lyons Road including the realignment of the south end of Lyons Ridge Drive to the entrance of the Miami Township Government Center, (4) the addition of a northbound right turn lane to Southwind Drive at SR 725 and complementary sidewalks. Project partners included Miami Township, Montgomery County, LJB Engineers, and R.B. Jergens.
BENEFIT: The purpose of the project was enhance the safe operation of the local roadway network and add pedestrian connectivity in conjunction with the development of a new WalMart Superstore near the Dayton Mall.
